  Straightforward professor and makes attempts at getting you to understand the material. Most material is online and you will learn if you put in the time and effort. Recommend reading the textbook regularly and doing the practice. Class requires close attention and diligent note-taking.

  Doesn't grade anything himself, its on a website so there isn't any credit if something is half right. Many of the materials that are on the tests & quizes isn't anything that is actually taught in the "lecture." The homework takes forever to do. There are so many assignments (13 in one week) that there is no time to study. Do NOT recommend!!!!!!!

  This teacher is not easy. You will need to focus on the subject outside of class and visit his office hours if you don't understand something. His examples are not the easiest to understand but the professor is nice and will help if you ask for it. Grades are curved but in order to get a good grade you need to attend class, finish hw and get help

  I don't recommend him. His quizzes (2) and tests (2) are nothing like the hw. You really have to dedicate time for this class because the exams test you on how much you truly understand the concepts. Tests will ask you for the same type of material of hw but will be nothing like it. He does curve but you have to work hard for it to be worth it.

  Took him once a week for a 3 hour class. Please take my advice and do not take him. I ignored comments below and will be most likely leaving the class with a D or worst. I studied literary everyday, got tutoring and nothing was on the test. HW is hell ! takes about 4 hours. He is nice and tries to help but he really cannot teach. 3 tests in total.

  ABSOLUTELY STAY AWAY!! Took him as a 4 hr class. Never again. He talks about everything else but what is needed to pass the homeworks, quizzes, and test. Literally walked into second midterm after studying for 2 weeks and didn't know a single answer and had to guess on every single question. SERIOUSLY!!! DON'T TAKE HIM!!!! STAY AWAY!!!

  It was a nightmare, two midterms. When I got the test I said to myself "this cannot be". Homework is weekly online, sometimes up to 2 homework a week. Expensive code needs to be bought over $130.

  I do not recommend anyone to take this course with this instructor. He has poor teaching skills, I did not learn absolutely anything in this course. You spend about 2 hours per homework assignment and for quiz and midterm you're pretty much on your own because he does not prepare you for them. DO NOT RECOMMEND!

  This class was a tough one. But he explains everything you need to know. Online textbook (WileyPLUS) includes all the reading so take advantage of those because its expensive. One midterm, one final. And do the homework/ practice quizzes on Wiley and it'll help you better understand the material.

  Took Winter semester on Fridays. Very intelligent professor with great sense of humor. Enormously patient. Knows how to explain everything. Midterm and final were tough though. Learned a lot. However, instead of group work in class, he'd better explain unclear HW exercises because even with all the help from Wiley's some exercises were unclear.

  I really didn't learn anything in his class. The online textbook costed $125 and it's required for us to take online quizzes. His midterm and final are both multiple choice, but they are super different from his quizzes. He curves them a lot. He's not a very good professor, but he likes to make jokes and is willing to help you if needed.

  I only got a B for the class because of the points I got on online homework and because he curves. Although he is 100% dedicated to the class I can't say that he is a good teacher. I did not get anything out of spending 4 hours in the classroom. The book he uses is horrible. Do not take!
